How to play Pathle
Pathle shows you the real damage path of a famous tornado — projected from its actual track, so the direction, shape, and relative length are geographically accurate (north is up). Your job is to name the tornado. You get five guesses. Start with just the path; each time you guess wrong, a new hint is revealed in this order:
- Country — where in the world it struck
- Rating — its Fujita or Enhanced Fujita intensity
- Region — the state, province, or region
- Year — when it happened
A new Pathle puzzle appears every day. Switch to Endless mode to keep playing random tornadoes back to back. When you finish, share your score — the squares show how many hints you needed, without spoiling the answer.

There are 36 famous tornadoes from around the world, from the Tri-State Tornado and El Reno to the Mayfield Quad-State tornado, plus events in Canada, Bangladesh, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
When does the daily puzzle reset?
A new Pathle appears every day at local midnight. After you finish, a countdown shows the time until the next puzzle, along with your play stats and win streak.
